The Saramonic XLavMic-C is an affordable wired lavalier microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern that captures impressive, broadcast-quality sound. It features a professional 3-pin XLR connector, and the microphone itself is small and inconspicuous when attached to your shirt or collar. Even though it’s ultra-compact in size, the XLavMic-C provides is rich, professional sounding audio.

The attached cable is 19.7 feet (6 m) long, which gives you ample length when plugging directly into a professional video camera, audio recorder, or live sound system. An additional XLR cable (sold separately) can be used if you need more length, and the XLavMic-C is also completely compatible with wireless transmitters, like the Saramonic UwMic9 TX-XLR9 (sold separately). You can also give your subjects mobility by connecting the XLavMic-C directly to an audio recorder, like the Saramonic SR-VRM1 (sold separately).

The cardioid pickup pattern of the XLavMic-C works well for both video production and live sound purposes. It picks up sound primarily in front of the microphone, which makes it useful for video shoots in noisy environments because it suppresses unwanted sounds to the sides and rear. This is also beneficial in live sound for avoiding feedback. The XLavMic-C requires phantom power for operation and does not require batteries.
